Today marks 50 days before the 2020 election and if you don’t like where the country’s headed now is the time to take action and deliver change. We can put a responsible, compassionate leader in the White House [Joe Biden]. But it’s going to take action from all of us beyond just voting. Don’t wake up on Nov 4 feeling like you could have done more.

Here’s an easy to scroll list of 50 things you can do to help secure the win. There’s something for everyone whether you prefer postcards, poll working, project management, or clicking “donate”. Find your jam!

Voting

This one should be obvious — but we’ve all got to show up. Did you know that over 10,000 people have already voted? (North Carolina started mailing their ballots on Sept 4)

  1. VoteSaveAmerica is your friend for all of this. With one click find all the info for your state.
  2. Vote
  3. Check your registration
  4. Make your voting plan. Can you vote early in person (best)? Are you voting by mail?
  5. Grow your vote. Are your friends voting? Do they have a plan? Send them to VoteSaveAmerica.

The States

Let’s get real, the election is going to come down to 7–10 states — this is where you can make the greatest impact.

6. Adopt a state — sign up with VoteSaveAmerica. They’ll send you an email every ~5 days with actions you can take to help achieve victory in these swing states.

7–17. Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Pennslyvania, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio. The states in play.

18. Who do you know in these states? Send them a txt, an email — get them to vote.

19. Know the dates for these states. VoteSaveAmerica has all the details on early voting and vote by mail dates. Send your friends a calendar reminder.

20. Want to swing for the fences? Help flip Texas. Beto O’Rourke’s got a new organization with 1 mission — flip Texas Blue. If that happens, it’s game over, we win. Volunteer with Powered by People.

21. Adopt a State, again. If you skipped #6, go back and click that link.

22. Txt or make calls with Swing Left

23. Write postcards to voters in swing states.

24. Make sure other people can vote. No poll workers, no polling places. No polling places, no voting. You can be a poll worker.

25–28. Email Marketing, Digital Ads, Project leadership, Graphic Design

29. Can you do any of these things? Join TechForCampaigns. You’ll be set up with a Dem state house campaign to help staff their digital team. It’s 5–7 hrs a week that can make a difference.

Donate

If you’re going to donate, do it now. Early voting starts soon so there’s not much time for campaigns to absorb new money and spend meaningfully.

30. The Biden campaign. Give them the resources to be up with digital and TV ads in all 10 of those swing states.

31–36. The Great Slate. Back 5 Dem congressional candidates in rural districts in states with senate races. This is the moneyball of political donations.

37–47. The State Slate. Like the Great Slate, but backing Dem state house reps running to flip seats in Florida and North Carolina (swing states!). Moneyball! Help these candidates win, they help flip the states Blue.

48. Swing Left Senate fund. Help flip the Senate and enable Biden to legislate change.

49. Defend the House. Keep the hard won gains of 2018 in place.

50+ any Dem candidate
